Spa Day at the Ritz Carlton on Amelia Island, FL

We always loving reading about travel hacks so we thought it would be a great idea to share with you how you can have the ultimate spa day at a 5 star resort on a budget.

Stefanie did some research and called the Ritz Carlton on Amelia Island to schedule a spa appointment. They let us know that if we schedule a spa treatment, we can spend the day using all of the facilities and amenities that the Ritz Carlton on Amelia Island has to offer. We booked pedicure massages for both of us. Zach did not get a fun spring polish just in case you were wondering. You can find the full Spa menu here.

Our appointment was at 11 am and we biked there from our Airbnb. We packed some swimming suits and a change of clothes since we planned to stay all day.

We changed into our spa outfits (swim suits and fancy Ritz Robes) in the fully-stocked changing rooms.

Our Spa Treatments did not disappoint, a foot and leg massage was well overdue and necessary since Stefanie had been unable to go to nail salons in the past year! Drinks were served during the appointment. Of course, we started with Champagne to toast to an amazing day.

After the appointment, we explored the facilities and came across a private lounge. It’s a room with plenty of lounging chairs and a fireplace. The Ritz also offers service while relaxing in the co-ed, adults-only lounge.

At this point we each had two glasses of champagne so it was time for lunch. We decided to eat poolside at the Coquina Restaurant. The food was okay, however we enjoyed the great atmosphere. Sitting at the restaurant made us feel like we were hanging out in Tulum.

Once we finished our lunch, we checked out the resort pool area. The resort is divided into two sections, one only for adults and one for families. You can switch between areas all day.

After exploring the family section, we checked out the adult pool section and decided to hang out there for a while. Again, a server was checking on us kept the drinks coming. The adult section includes a hot tub with a waterfall. The family section includes a hot tub and indoor pool, but they did not seem as relaxing for us since a bunch of kids were running around and playing.

After enjoying the our own private pool we were ready to get dressed and took advantage of the Ritz Carlton showers and dressing rooms. The Spa showers come with shampoos, conditioners, soap, razors, female products and toothbrushes. Additionally, the women’s “locker room” has hair spray, deodorant, curling irons, straighteners and blow dryers.

Once we were done enjoying the Spa amenities, we went back to the Tulum style restaurant for one more drink to reflect on the day at this beautiful resort.

I hope you enjoyed our Ritz Carlton Hack recap. It is important to know that a lot of different hotels offer spa services in exchange to use their facilities. Again, it is a great way to save money on your vacation but to still enjoy a relaxing day at a Five Star Resort. Make sure you save the link :).
